Amaechi Reportedly Agrees to Atiku’s VP Offer on ADC Platform

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has reportedly agreed to serve as the vice-presidential candidate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the build-up to the next general election.

According to reports, the arrangement is expected to be formalized under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as opposition forces continue consultations aimed at presenting a formidable challenge in the forthcoming presidential race.

SavannahNewnow understands that Amaechi’s acceptance of the vice-presidential slot is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the emerging political coalition seeking to unseat the ruling party at the federal level.

While neither Atiku nor Amaechi has officially confirmed the development, political observers believe the potential alliance could significantly reshape the country’s political landscape ahead of the elections.

Further details are expected as consultations among key stakeholders within the ADC and allied political groups continue.
