Legal practitioner and public affairs advocate, Olukayode Ajulo, has penned a heartfelt tribute celebrating his mother, Princess Christiana Monisola Ajulo, as she marks her 91st birthday.
Princess Ajulo, the revered Iya Ijo of Christ Anglican Church, Ifira Akoko, was described by her son as a symbol of faith, sacrifice, and exemplary character whose life continues to inspire generations within and beyond the church community.
In the emotional message released to commemorate the occasion, Ajulo praised his mother’s lifelong dedication to God, family, and society, noting that her legacy of prayers, discipline, and moral instruction shaped the lives of her children and many others who encountered her.
According to him, Princess Ajulo’s journey through more than nine decades reflects a rare combination of humility, resilience, and spiritual devotion. He highlighted her consistent presence in the church, where he said her fervent prayers and commitment to service helped strengthen the spiritual life of the congregation.
Ajulo further recalled how his mother balanced motherhood with hard work and community engagement, raising eight children while managing a bookshop and supporting the growth of the church. He credited her with instilling in him the values of integrity, humility, diligence, and service to humanity.
The legal practitioner noted that the virtues she embodied rooted in the Yoruba concept of Omolúàbí continue to guide his personal life and professional commitments.
He also described her as a woman whose influence transcends her family, adding that her prayers and counsel have positively impacted the church, the community of Ifira Akoko, and many others who have sought her guidance.
Ajulo expressed deep gratitude to God for preserving his mother through the years and prayed for continued strength, peace, and joy in her life.
“As the world celebrates her today, the church gives thanks and I remain eternally grateful for the gift of a mother whose life represents faith, character, and unwavering love,” he said.
Princess Christiana Monisola Ajulo is widely respected in her community for her steadfast Christian devotion and her role as a matriarch whose life has been devoted to nurturing faith, family values, and communal harmony.
