Aiyedatiwa Appoints 32 Permanent Secretaries, Confirms Key Statutory Officers

Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the Ondo State Civil Service, in a move aimed at strengthening public sector administration and service delivery, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

The appointments were contained in a press statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

Those confirmed and appointed as Permanent Secretaries are: Mrs Tayo Ogundare, Mrs Morayo M. Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile (mni), Stephen R. Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi, Bamidele Daisi, Engr. Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr Mrs Abike Ilawole, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, Kolawole B. Kayode, Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Niyi Akinbola, Engr. Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv. Idowu A. Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs Toyin O. Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku.

In addition, Governor Aiyedatiwa approved the confirmation of Mr Olusola Sunday Ajayi as the Statistician-General of the state, as well as Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape as the Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

According to the statement, all confirmations and appointments take effect from February 1, 2026, while the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be held on a date to be announced later.

The governor congratulated the appointees and charged them to bring professionalism, diligence, and integrity to their duties in support of his administration’s development agenda for Ondo State.
