Prince Olujimi Adekanle, popularly known as JAF, has extended warm congratulations to the Honourable Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, Hon. Wumi Isaac, on his recognition by Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.
Hon. Isaac was honoured with an Outstanding Performance Award during the institution’s convocation ceremony, an accolade that celebrates his remarkable achievements in financial management and public administration.
In his congratulatory message, Prince Adekanle commended the Finance Commissioner for his exceptional leadership and fiscal prudence, describing the award as a well-deserved recognition of his “uncommon brilliance and integrity in public service.”
He highlighted Hon. Isaac’s landmark achievement of reducing Ondo State’s domestic debt by an unprecedented 82.6 percent within a single year — from about ₦74 billion in 2023 to approximately ₦12 billion in 2024 — the highest debt reduction record among Nigeria’s 36 states.
Prince Adekanle further lauded the Commissioner’s people-oriented approach to governance, citing his efforts to clear salary arrears, gratuities, and contractual obligations while maintaining financial discipline.
He also praised Hon. Isaac’s digital transformation of the state’s revenue system, describing it as a bold step toward entrenching transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance.
“The award is not just an honour to Hon. Wumi Isaac but also a testament to the visionary leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration,” Adekanle noted.
He concluded by urging the Commissioner to continue his trailblazing work in driving fiscal reforms that promote sustainable growth and development in Ondo State.
