The Ondo State Government, through the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), has organized a crucial stakeholders’ engagement meeting with host communities on the upcoming Free Trade Zone, Refinery, and Deep Sea Port projects, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The event, held on Wednesday, 16th October 2025, took place at Olugbo Hall, Ugbo, Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
The engagement, themed “Connect, Invest, Transform,” brought together key community leaders, government officials, and investors to deliberate on the economic and social impacts of the landmark projects.
The meeting was chaired by the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the people of the oil-producing coastal communities fully benefit from the development initiatives.
Governor Aiyedatiwa described the Deep Sea Port, Refinery, and Free Trade Zone projects as vital components of his administration’s OUR EASE Agenda, which aims to drive industrial growth, attract investors, and create sustainable employment opportunities across the state.
The stakeholders’ engagement was part of ongoing efforts by ONDIPA to promote inclusive dialogue and ensure smooth collaboration between the government, investors, and host communities ahead of the official flag-off of the Deep Sea Port and Refinery projects.
