The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a public alert concerning the alleged unlawful activities of one Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, a former staff member of the Service who was dismissed from duty.
In a statement released by the DSS, the agency cautioned the public against dealing with Godwin, stressing that he no longer represents or has any ties with the Service.
It noted that the dismissed officer has allegedly been involved in activities capable of undermining national security and misleading unsuspecting members of the public.
“The Department wishes to inform the public that Victor Onyedikachi Godwin is no longer in its employ. Any individual or organization that engages with him does so at their own risk,” the statement read in part.
The DSS urged citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities involving the ex-staff member to the nearest security agency.
It also reiterated its commitment to safeguarding national security and ensuring that its name is not used to perpetrate fraud or other illegal acts.
