45-Year-Old Tiwa Savage Opens Up: “I Haven’t Been Intimate in Over 1,000 Days”
Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has offered fans a rare and unfiltered glimpse into her personal life, speaking openly about love, intimacy, and self-fulfillment in a recent interview.
The award-winning singer, who turned 45 earlier this year, revealed that she feels no pressure from age or societal expectations. “I’m not young, I’m 45, and I’m good,” she said confidently, emphasizing that her happiness is not tied to external validation.
On her love life, Tiwa admitted that she is very selective, disclosing that she has gone more than three years without intimacy. For her, emotional connection takes precedence. “I’ve gone maybe like three years without… it’s not something I’m really crazy about. Yes, 365 days, 365 days. For me, I have to be in love to even think about it,” she explained.
Unlike many of her peers, the singer noted she doesn’t rely on intimacy gadgets either. “I don’t have toys,” she said with a laugh, joking that fans might consider sending her some as Christmas gifts. “Maybe that’s what people should get me for Christmas dinner… but imagine me opening boxes of roses at my show, checking them like they’re b%mbs,” she quipped, drawing laughter.
While her comments stirred amusement, they also underscored her commitment to authenticity. For Tiwa, love remains the foundation of everything. “Yes, I have to be with someone for me to even think about it,” she stressed.
