Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Pledges N100 Million in Educational Support for 1,000 Undergraduates in Ondo South

…Cash gift presentation to hold on September 25, 2025

In a significant show of support for education, the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, has announced a N100 million educational grant for 1,000 undergraduates from the district.

The initiative, aimed at easing the financial burden of tuition fees for students, will see each beneficiary receive N100,000 to support their academic pursuits in various institutions across the country.

Senator Ibrahim, a distinguished academic himself with nine degree certificates, said the gesture is in response to the economic struggles faced by many families in the district, especially those whose livelihoods depend on farming, fishing, and petty trading.

“I cherish education and I appreciate anyone determined to pursue it. Many parents are struggling to pay tuition fees due to limited income. This support is my way of reducing the pressure families face at the start of every academic session,” he stated.

The lawmaker emphasized that the support is open to all undergraduates who hail from communities within the Ondo South Senatorial District. Beneficiaries will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with the first 1,000 qualified applicants receiving the cash gift.

How to Apply

Interested students are advised to:

Collect application forms from the palace of their traditional rulers in their respective communities.

Forms are also available at the All Progressives Congress (APC) party secretariat and through Aseyori leaders across Ondo South.

After filling the form, students are required to submit it at the same location where it was collected.

For indigenes residing outside the senatorial district, online application options will be made available soon.

Date of Disbursement

The presentation of bank drafts to the selected 1,000 undergraduates will take place on September 25, 2025.

Senator Ibrahim reiterated his commitment to the educational advancement of youths in the district, urging all eligible undergraduates to take advantage of the opportunity.

“This fund is for every qualified undergraduate from Ondo South. Let’s use this opportunity to invest in our future leaders,” he added.

Further details and inquiries can be made by contacting designated representatives in the local communities.
