Biyi Poroye, Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC, has confirmed that the EFCC is investigating the agency.
The Commission chairman confirmed to Roving Reporters that the investigation, which began before his appointment, is aimed at the commission as a whole, rather than targeting him personally.
When he took office, the inquiry was already underway, having begun in 2018, he said.
The chairman asserted that his administration has no involvement in the matter and pledged that the issue would not deter him from his commitment to reforming the agency.
He stressed that no challenge—be it blackmail, deception, or institutional resistance—can derail the agency the vision for a better, stronger institution in the State.
