The National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Daniel Woyengikuro, has suggested that the party may give former President Goodluck Jonathan an automatic presidential ticket for the 2027 elections.
Woyengikuro pointed out that Jonathan would need to rejoin the PDP officially and become politically active again, highlighting Jonathan’s status as the party’s national leader after former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Woyengikuro confirmed Jonathan would receive an automatic ticket, stating, “That’s my clear position. Quote me anywhere — I want him back. He deserves an automatic ticket, as things currently stand. It’s time to rescue both the party and the nation.”
