Timi Dakolo Slams Royal Air Maroc Over Missing Luggage, Accuses Airline of Theft

Nigerian soul singer Timi Dakolo has accused Royal Air Maroc of losing his luggage during a recent business class trip from Lagos to Freetown with a layover in Casablanca on June 26, 2025.

Despite being given priority, Dakolo claims that his checked bag was not delivered to his final destination and that subsequent inquiries have been unsuccessful.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, July 17, Dakolo expressed his frustration, writing: “Royal Air Maroc has refused to provide answers or trace my missing luggage since June 26. I flew business class, did everything right, yet here we are. I have emailed, filed a report, contacted Nahco… nothing. I now believe the bag was stolen.”

He also noted that the airline’s lack of response and action was not only unprofessional, but also indicative of a more serious problem with their baggage handling process. The singer further called on the airline and Nigerian aviation authorities, tagging them in his post, to take swift action.

His post has ignited outrage among fans and fellow travellers, with Daddy Freeze also chiming in, and this is not Royal Air Maroc’s first controversy involving Nigerian passengers.

In a separate case, another traveller has reportedly waited nearly 11 months for the airline to pay $1,713 in compensation for a misplaced bag. The mounting complaints suggest systemic flaws in RAM’s customer service and baggage management, drawing increased scrutiny from the Nigerian public.
