The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied reports that it has appointed new state chairmen across the country.
The ADC has described reports as false and misleading in a statement released by Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson for the opposition coalition, urging the public to disregard them.
“The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to make it known to the public that the party is not aware of any appointment of State Chairmen as being circulated on the social media space,” the statement read in part.
The party also denounced the intentional dissemination of false information and warned Nigerians to beware of scam online platforms masquerading as official ADC registration portals.
It advised members of the public to rely solely on information released through the party’s official communication channels for accurate updates.
The clarification comes as concerns grow about misinformation and unauthorized political activity being spread through unofficial channels.
