Wanton Destruction of Lives, Land and Properties Render A Farmer Homeless In Plateau State

The spate of destruction of lives, properties and farmlands in far away Mangu Local Government Districts in Plateau State has continued unabated over the years, SAVANNAH NEWS REPORTS

Obviously, if nothing is done, the people might be left with nothing to sustain themselves and the community.

The case of one Mr. Egole Emmanuel from Mangu Local Government Districts, Plateau State has been an issue of concern as the hope of this young, ebullient, energetic and hardworking man is already dashed.

Savannah News gathered that Mr Egole Emmanuel, a successful farmer for years is now devastated due to various intra communal war ranging from farmers/herders clash, religious crisis and some other unchecked causes that have left him homeless.

In the midst of those crises, his farms were destroyed, houses burnt and whole lots of collateral damage done to his life. Mr. Emmanuel and his family has been displaced as the moment and no hope of respite coming his way soon.

Our correspondent who was on ground to ascertain the level of damage done to the people of mangu local government districts said that the community people confirmed that, Mr Egole Emmanuel is a one time giver of monies to the people both for business and humanitarian service has now become a beggar in his own clime.

The community leaders implore the Federal Government of Nigeria to rise up to the need of this young man whose condition is hapless and hopeless.

They also appeal to well meaning Nigerians to extend hands of help to the man who is displaced at the moment to get things back to the way they were.
