SPORTS: Al Hilal offers Osimhen new deal

Al Hilal are not deterred by Victor Osimhen’s rejection of their initial offer and are preparing a new proposal to sign the striker.

The Nigerian forward is said to have rejected a lucrative offer worth €30 million per year just ten days ago, but the Saudi club is now offering improved terms and is willing to pay his €75 million release clause.

The Saudi Pro League’s increasing financial power and ambition on the global transfer stage are highlighted by their ongoing interest. However, the player’s hesitation to relocate to Saudi Arabia seems to be driven by sporting considerations rather than financial ones.

The 25-year-old is thought to prefer a move back to one of Europe’s top leagues, with Premier League clubs and Juventus still in contention, although Galatasaray are trying to extend his stay and face a challenge to keep one of the most sought-after players this summer.

For now, however, Osimhen’s future remains undecided — and the race for his services is far from over.
