A day after an Air India flight headed to the UK crashed, killing hundreds, another plane operated by the airline made an emergency landing on Friday due to a bomb threat.
The latest incident occurred on an Airbus A320 flight from Phuket, Thailand to New Delhi.
According to a statement on Airports of Thailand’s official Phuket Facebook page, air traffic control was notified by the flight crew shortly after takeoff about a threatening message discovered onboard.
According to FlightRadar24 data, the plane made a sharp U-turn over the Andaman Sea, circled the coastline of the island several times, and then landed safely back in Phuket.
Less than 24 hours after an Air India flight bound for London crashed in Ahmedabad, India, killing at least 265 people, including those on the ground, a new scare has emerged.
