Osimhen eyes Premier League switch

Victor Osimhen is said to be eyeing a move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United emerging as a serious suitor after he rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal.

The Nigerian forward, who played a crucial role in Galatasaray’s Super Lig win during his loan spell, was close to securing a lucrative transfer to the Saudi Pro League, but talks with Al-Hilal have broken down, forcing him to consider alternative options.

Osimhen remains committed to achieving his long-held goal of playing in the Premier League, and United have strengthened their pursuit of him, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 26-year-old has become a priority target for United as they look to reinforce their attacking options following a disappointing 15th-place finish.

Napoli are unwilling to lower the striker’s £63.4 million release clause, posing a challenge for the Mancunians due to their financial constraints, although they are exploring a potential player-plus-cash deal to make the transfer more feasible.

One name being considered as part of Manchester United’s bid for Victor Osimhen is Joshua Zirkzee, as the club seeks to negotiate a deal that will convince Napoli to sell their star forward.

With the summer transfer window now open, the Red Devils are expected to intensify their efforts to sign Osimhen, who has once again become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market.
