A tragic accident occurred in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, when a staff member of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) was electrocuted while working on a power line opposite the WAEC office in the city center.
A viral video circulating on social media captured the shocking moment a technician was left suspended atop an electric pole, motionless and unresponsive, as distressed onlookers gathered below, anxiously awaiting help.
Fellow IBEDC workers promptly scaled the pole to rescue their trapped colleague, who was subsequently rushed to the University College Hospital in Ibadan for medical attention.
