President Bola Tinubu has submitted a N1.48 trillion budget for Rivers State to the National Assembly for consideration.
President Tinubu stated in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio that the fiscal year’s budget allocates N324 billion for infrastructure development, N166 billion for health, N75.6 billion for education, N31.4 billion for agriculture, and N5 billion for free drug distribution to all categories of people.
The Senate subsequently referred the budget proposal to its committee on Emergency Rule in Rivers State, with instructions to report back promptly.
