The EFCC says Tompolo, also known as Chief Government Ekpemupolo, needs to answer questions about a viral video that allegedly shows him abusing the naira.
Nigerians on Sunday challenged the Commission to arrest Tompolo, just as it had done with other offenders, following a viral video posted on X by Harrison A, captioned ‘EFCC, see Tompolo and the Naira o’.
A video clip from Tompolo’s 54th birthday celebration in April shows the Niger Delta chieftain dancing as a man showers him with N1,000 notes.
Responding to the demands by netizens, EFCC in a post on its official X handle on Monday said: “Nobody is above the law. Tompolo will have questions to answer!”
