Breaking: FG declares public holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitr in 2025

The federal government has announced public holidays on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in observance of Eid-el-Fitr, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on behalf of the federal government, following the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

Tunji-Ojo has urged Muslims to adopt self-discipline, compassion, generosity, and peace, stressing love, forgiveness, and solidarity’s role in creating a harmonious society.

The Minister also called on Nigerians to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity during the festive period.

He expressed hope that Eid-el-Fitr would bring unity and cooperation across religious and ethnic lines, and encouraged citizens to celebrate responsibly while showing kindness and charity to the less privileged, in the spirit of Ramadan and Eid.

On behalf of the Federal Government, he extended Eid Mubarak wishes to all Muslim faithful, praying that the season’s blessings would bring happiness, success, and fulfillment to everyone.
