Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has not dropped his lawsuit against the Assembly, despite a recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu and other lawmakers at the State House.
At the State High Court on Monday, Assembly members were taken aback to learn that Obasa, who had been reinstated as Speaker, was still pursuing a lawsuit against the very institution he now leads.
A lawmaker who spoke with SAVANNAH NEWSNOW expressed shock that despite interventions from President Tinubu and other influential figures, including Chief Bisi Akande and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Obasa remains firm in his legal battle against the Assembly and Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda, contrary to Tinubu’s directive to withdraw the lawsuit.
