Akpabio: Court restrains senate committee from probing Natasha

A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an interim order stopping the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions from taking disciplinary action against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS. 

Following an ex parte application by Akpoti-Uduaghan’s lawyers, Justice Obiora Egwuatu granted the order on Tuesday, effectively preventing the Senate committee from taking any action against the senator until further rulings are made.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu’s court issued an interim order on Tuesday, following an ex parte application by counsels to Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central, thereby halting all proceedings on the matter pending further judicial review.
