Olujimi Adekanle, a foremost Canadian-based investigative journalist and publisher of Savannah Newsnow, has congratulated Dr Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his inauguration as the 7th executive Governor of Ondo State.
It would be recalled that Gov. Aiyedatiwa won the recent Governorship election in Ondo state, securing all 18 local government areas with a total of 366,781votes, while his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, trailed behind with 117,845 votes.
Adekanle, while congratulating the governor, described Aiyedatiwa’s re-election as a testament to the governor’s hard work, dedication, and the trust the people of Ondo State have in him, calling it a well-fought and well-deserved victory that recognizes the Governor’s hard work and good governance.
Adekanle believes the election results reflect the people’s wishes, and notes that democracy flourishes when voters reward competence, transparency, and good governance, citing Aiyedatiwa’s victory as evidence of the people’s faith in him.
“I am delighted to congratulate His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, on his triumphant victory in the recent governorship election.
“The poll results reflect the implicit trust people have in him, which he has earned through initiatives and programmes that have positively impacted the lives of Ondo people over the past one year.
“The electorate’s bold statement at the polls has given him another opportunity to expand on his impressive achievements and implement the changes he has initiated in the State.”
While congratulating the Governor and people of Ondo State, Adekanle urged Aiyedatiwa’s co-contestants to collaborate with the governor to drive the state’s progress and development, emphasizing that the state’s interest takes precedence over any sectional or individual interest.
