President Bola Tinubu has expressed disapproval over Canada’s mistreatment of Nigerian officials.
Through the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, President Tinubu warned that Nigeria will take strong action if Canada fails to address the visa denial issue involving the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa.
The minister’s statement was made in an official release signed by Iyogun Sunday, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of Defence, and highlighted the need for Nigeria to assert itself globally following a recent diplomatic incident in which visas were denied to General Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, and other members of a Nigerian delegation en route to Canada to honour the country’s war veterans.
