Unknown gunmen kidnap Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth president in Owerri

Concerns are mounting over the disappearance of Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka, President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, who was reportedly abducted by gunmen in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

Witnesses claim that Igboayaka was forcefully taken away by gunmen dressed in black, who were driving a Sienna and a Lexus SUV, at Works Layout on Saturday around 7 p.m.

Despite efforts by his family, friends, and the Ohanaeze Youth Council to contact him via his mobile phones, all attempts have been unsuccessful, sparking concerns about his safety.

Speculation is rampant that his abduction may be linked to security operatives, possibly due to his vocal criticism of the government, according to SAVANNAHNEWNOW.

However, the Imo State Police Command has yet to confirm or deny involvement in his arrest, with the command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, remaining silent on the matter.
