The National Working Committee (NWC) members of the Southeast and stakeholders in the People Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday rejected the national vice chairman, South, High Chief Ali Odefa, and endorsed Hon. Chinedu Goodluck as his replacement, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The decision was announced in a communique read by South east legal adviser, Mr Ukpai Ukairo, after the meeting adopted it.
Earlier, Odefa had issued a counter statement distancing himself from the meeting, which took place at Wadata plaza, the party’s national secretariat.
The meeting also passed a unanimous vote of confidence in the party’s national secretary, Senator Chris Anyanwu, citing his effective administrative skills and management abilities, which are in line with the party’s constitution.
The communique further states: “On October 9, 2024, the National Working Committee issued a timetable for the Southeast Zone’s Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party.”
