The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) has formally presented Certificates of Return to Hon. Dipo Ajibola, the newly elected Executive Chairman of Ifedore Local Government, and Hon. Mrs. Biola Ijimakinwa, the Executive Vice Chairman.
The ODIEC headquarters held a major event to celebrate their overwhelming victory in the local government elections.
During the ceremony, the ODIEC Chairman praised the people of Ifedore for their peaceful behavior during the elections, while also reaffirming the commission’s dedication to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections throughout the state.
Additionally, he congratulated Hon. Ajibola and Hon. Ijimakinwa on their well-deserved victory, urging them to fulfill the promises made to the people of Ifedore during the electioneering processes.
Dipo Ajibola thanked the people of Ifedore for their support and trust, which led to his historic victory.
He commended ODIEC for conducting a transparent and democratic process and acknowledged the support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) throughout his journey.
Ajibola pledged to focus on key areas of development, including infrastructure, economic empowerment, education, and healthcare, and assured the people of Ifedore that his administration would deliver the dividends of democracy and work tirelessly to make Ifedore a model of progress and inclusivity.
On her part, the Vice chairman, Biola Ijimakinwa expressed gratitude to ODIEC for a smooth electoral process and to the people of Ifedore for entrusting her with the responsibility, reaffirming her commitment to advancing the well-being of all residents and working with Hon. Ajibola to create a brighter future for the local government, marking the beginning of a new era of leadership in Ifedore with the promise of transformational governance and impactful development.
With the certificates of return now in their possession, the Chairman and his Deputy are expected to be sworn in by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to enable them to assume office and begin their three-year tenure.
