Sowore criticizes Wike as his son graduates from a university in the UK

Omoyele Sowore, a prominent activist and politician, has alleged that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, used stolen funds meant for the Nigerian people to send his son to a university in the UK, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

He made the accusation while Wike was in the United Kingdom celebrating his son’s university graduation.

Nigerians have continued to react to a post by Wike, who announced on his Facebook page that his son, Jordan, had graduated with a Master of Laws degree from Queen Mary University of London, with many accusing politicians of destroying the country’s education system while sending their own children abroad to study.

Sowore blasted the former Rivers State Governor on his official X handle in response to the post, pointing out that despite holding public office for many years, the Minister was unable to establish a school that would accept his own son.

“Nyesom Wike served as local government chairman for two terms, Minister of Education for four years, and Governor of Rivers State for two terms, totaling eight years.

“He is currently the FCT Minister, yet he sends his children to schools in the UK after the destruction of education in Nigeria and with funds stolen from the masses.”
