Tragedy struck the Sokoto State Government Secretary, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, as his daughter and three of her children perished in a devastating fire that occurred in the early hours of Monday, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
A housewife and her three children lost their lives in a fire that engulfed their home in Sokoto State, while her husband, Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, was the sole survivor.
The fire, whose cause is still under investigation, occurred while the family was at home. The Sokoto State Fire Service battled the blaze for hours before extinguishing it.
The remains of the deceased are set to be buried at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque, Sifawa, following Islamic rites.
