The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) is undertaking extensive overhauls at both the Port Harcourt Refinery and the Kaduna Refinery to meet global standards, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The company explained that the rehabilitation efforts at the Port Harcourt Refinery and the Warri Refinery go beyond typical Turnaround Maintenance procedures, aiming to align with international best practices.
NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, issued a statement in response to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s remarks on the status of the refurbished refineries.
NNPC Ltd.’s spokesperson, Soneye, responded to Obasanjo’s concerns about the refineries’ operational viability, highlighting the significant progress made in overhauling the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries, and inviting the former President to visit and see the improvements firsthand.
“We extend an invitation to our esteemed former president to join us in this historic journey,” Soneye said. “His wisdom and experience are invaluable, and we deeply appreciate his insights and guidance, which will always be welcomed and cherished.
