The Oyo state Police Command has confirmed that 35 people died in the Ibadan Children Funfair Stampede, with six others critically injured, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
SP Adewale Osifeso, the Police Command Public Relations Officer, revealed this during a live radio interview.
He confirmed that seven suspects, including the Principal Organiser of the Funfair, are now in Police custody.
“I can say categorically now that 35 deaths has been recorded with six others critically injured”, he said.
The PPRO stressed that investigations are still on going on the matter.
