Hon. Kolawole Babatunde is a distinguished Nigerian politician and public servant, renowned for his simplicity, firmness, and humility.
Born on April 8, 1975, in Kaduna State, Nigeria, he hails from Ifira in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
His educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Ado Ekiti, and he is currently a research student in Development Economics.
Hon. Kolawole’s commitment to public service is evident in his various roles, including his tenure as a Legislative Aide to Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice, his representation of Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency in the 8th Assembly, and his appointment as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development by the late Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He has received numerous awards for his service and philanthropy and remains committed to serving his community and country.
After serving in the National Assembly, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde was appointed Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development by the late Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON in June 2019.
He served two consecutive terms and later became Chairman of the Abia State Congress Committee, appointed by the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2021.
Hon. Kolawole Babatunde also served as Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organization for Ondo North Senatorial District in the 2023 General Elections, leading the party to victory.
Additionally, he led the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Council as Director General, securing another victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko South East/ Akoko South West Federal Constituency.
Hon. Kolawole Babatunde continues to demonstrate his commitment to serving his community and country.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria and an alumnus of Lagos Business School.
Hon. Kolawole Babatunde is married to Princess Silofat Adekemisola Kolawole, and they have God-fearing children.
