The Senate has issued an arrest warrant for the Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Dr Peer Lubasch, due to his persistent refusal to appear before the Senate Committee on Works, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The warrant was issued following a motion by Senator Osita Ngwu, Senate Minority Whip, which was co-sponsored by Senators Asuquo Ekpenyong and Mpigi Barinada.
The motion was in response to Julius Berger’s failure to provide explanations for project abandonment and contract variations from N54 billion to N195 billion.
Date for compelling appearance of Julius Berger before the Senate Committee on Works according to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, will be stated in the arrest warrant.
