The Kannywood industry is mourning the sudden death of renowned Hausa singer and actor, El-Mu’az Muhammad Birniwa, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
Abba El-Mustapha, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
El-Mu’az reportedly collapsed while playing football in Kaduna on Wednesday and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His funeral prayer is scheduled for later today at the Zangon Daura mosque in Kaduna. El-Mu’az, who hails from Birniwa in Jigawa State, was celebrated for his significant contributions to the growth of the Kannywood industry, and his passing is a great loss to the entertainment world and his community.
