Ondo 2024: JAF Commends INEC for Conducting a Credible Ondo 2024 Election

Olujimi Adekanle, a well-known political activist, has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for organizing a free, fair, and transparent Ondo State governorship election, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

Adekanle expressed his admiration for INEC’s commitment to upholding electoral laws and ensuring the significance of every vote, shortly after casting his ballot in his hometown of Irele.

He highlighted the peaceful nature of the election, the professionalism of the Nigerian police, and the efficient functioning of the BVAS machines, with only one unit experiencing a minor glitch that was promptly resolved.

Adekanle’s positive assessment aligns with the widespread acclaim the off-cycle election has received, with observers acknowledging improvements in voter engagement, transparency, and the effective utilization of technology.

These advancements are attributed to the ongoing efforts of INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu to bolster the integrity of Nigerian elections, thereby enhancing public confidence in the electoral system.

Prior to the election, Professor Yakubu assured the public of INEC’s dedication to safeguarding the choices of Ondo voters, emphasizing that the selection of the state’s next governor lies solely with the electorate.

Adekanle thanked electorates for coming out in their numbers to cast their votes for candidate of their choice.
