Following an investigation and a unanimous vote, the Oyo State House of Assembly has reinstated Honorable Olusola Oluokun as Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, after previously suspending him due to a controversial social media incident, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The decision was made during a plenary session on Thursday, November 7, and was influenced by the findings of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, which concluded that Oluokun did not intentionally share the video and showed genuine remorse for the incident.
With Oluokun’s reinstatement, Speaker Rt. Honorable Adebo Ogundoyin directed that the vice chairman, who had stepped in during the suspension, return to his role.
