JUST IN: Resident Doctors Declare Indefinite Strike

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), on Tuesday night, declared an indefinite strike action, Savannah News Reports.

The union embarking on indefinite strike over what it described as failure of government to meet the demands of its members after several meetings with federal government.

Dr. Emeka Orji, the Union President said that the strike was commencing by Wednesday Morning, July 26, 2023.

According to the president, the decision was reached at the meeting held by the union Leadership on Tuesday night in Lagos.

The NARD demands include 200 per cent salary increment.

Also part of their demand is replacement of doctors who have resigned and payment of the 2023 residency training allowance.
