Ondo YPP Governorship Candidate Congratulates New Appointees, Warns Against Electoral Fraud.

Ondo State Young Progressives Party (YPP) Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming November Election in the State, Comrade John Akinmurele has congratulated the newly appointed Senior Special Assistants (SSA) and Special Assistants (SA) to the Governor.

The former State Security Service (SSS) Officer wished them well and prayed that the new roles bring greater opportunities for service to the state.

Akinmurele and other party leaders stressed that the appointment of over 300 aides was not necessary at this material time.

He accused Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of trying to cover up the clear lack of direction of his government.

Judging by the manner the appointments were made without spelt out roles and designations, the Party is of the firm belief that the Governor and his party are using these last-minute appointments for personal electoral agenda, which will not translate into anything meaningful at the end.

The security expert thinks the government is not doing well to eliminate the high level of poverty in the state.

“The Governor should be harnessing the capabilities of these appointees for the development of the State, rather than planning to use them as *his election* canvassers and beneficiaries of peanuts.

“We therefore make it clear to the APC Government in the state that this gesture had further revealed their selfish interest of impoverishing the people to manipulate them for selfish electoral gains.

“We, in the YPP, believe that many of the appointees, like the majority of the people, are victims of the hardship inflicted on the people of the State, by the current APC government, which cannot be allowed to continue.

“We hereby enjoin you to support and vote for John Otitoloju Akinmurele and Rt Hon. Ayodele Obe of the Young Progressives Party(YPP), because we prioritize the welfare and prosperity of the state, over any other agenda. “
