Davido’s father donates N1bn to C&S Church

Father of the renowned music artist Davido, Mr Adedeji Adeleke has donated the sum of N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim church in Lagos, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS. 

The contribution was announced during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the church’s headquarters in Lagos.

The business mogul, Adedeji Adeleke who is the head of the popular Adeleke family in Osun donated the money in memory of their late mother, Madam Esther Adeleke.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Adeleke said that the donation was made on behalf of his late mother, , who was deeply respected within the church community.

“In honour of our mother, a Senior Mother in Israel, Mrs. Esther Adeleke, we are contributing the sum of N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund,” he stated.

The thanksgiving service was well attended.

The big wigs at the event are; Governor Dapo Abiodun, who commended the Adeleke family for their generosity. Davido, along with Governors Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, were also in attendance.

Deputy Baba Aladura Harold Demuren, an Aeronautical Engineer and former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), praised the Adeleke family for their unwavering commitment to both faith and humanity. “The Adeleke family exemplifies humility and consistency in their service to the Lord and humanity,” Demuren remarked.

The Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church, which was founded by Pa Moses Orimolade Tunolase, is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025.
