2023 Polls: Ex-PDP Reps Candidate In Akoko Cry For Help Over Threat To Life

Hon. Kadri Stephen Olusegun has cried out for help over threats to his life after the election, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.

In a statement released, Kadri Stephen Olusegun said after the monetization of 2023 election against the existing rotation in Akoko North East/North West Local Government, his life and that of his family members including supporters were severely threatened.

The statement reads:” In 2023 I was the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in 2023 General Election, I represent Akoko North-East/North-West Federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

“In an election that was keenly contested between myself and the (APC) candidate the ruling party in my state and also at the national level.

“After the election, intimidation of myself and my supporters, my life and that of members of my strategic team who among were women leaders, youth leaders and other campaign officers were under threat.

“In fact, it was when they were being tracked from every angle that prompted most of them to travel far away from home to remote villages in neighbouring states and countries so that there life can be safe,
my life was still being monitored by unowned men

“This unfortunate experience of my life has been a major problem to me and my family,for almost a year now, it has being one eye open one close. On this note my life and that of my family is more important to my family and my society,
I need prayer and God intervention to survive this tribulations.”
