Amid the crisis rocking Rivers State, a former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, who is from the State has finally reacted to the crisis going on in the state, SAVANNAH NEWSNOW REPORTS.
The former First Lady urged the two warring parties in the state to give peace a chance and allow normalcy to return to the state.
The request was made by the former First Lady at the 60th anniversary of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) international colloquium in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Public Relations, Value Re-orientation and Economic Transformation,’ the former first lady urged the warring parties to allow the present administration of Rivers State to run smoothly without interference.
She said the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara should not be distracted and ensure Rivers people have inclusive development.
