This figures was released by the Kenya Medical Association on Tuesday evening.
The protest which began last week was led by the popular group called Gen Z demonstrators.
Amidst the escalating tensions, Kenyan police shot dead one protester near the parliament.
President William Ruto had expressed willingness to have a round table discussion with the demonstrators leaders over the weekend before the issue escalated.
The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) reported that police fired live bullets at the protesters, killing one. Amnesty International Kenya’s executive director, Irungu Houghton, confirmed the increasing use of live bullets by the National Police Service in Nairobi and called for safe passage for medical officers to treat the wounded protesters.
