Operatives of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) in Nigeria have apprehended Abayomi Segun Oluwasesan.
Oluwasesan allegedly hacked his company’s blockchain and stole billions of Naira from the company.
He was working at Afriq Arbitrage System, a global crypto space, was arrested few days ago.
Savannah News gathered that the suspect, withdrew $87 million from the company account and spent.
Oluwasesan was employed by the company on June 15, 2022 to work as a web developer.
The suspect hacked the platform at a time when his boss, Jesam Micheal went for a liver transplant and entrusted the codes to him.
Abayomi, was given all sensitive data for the smooth operations of the company, engaged the services of his cohorts, disrupting the smooth operations of the platform and stealing hard-earned investors’ money running into several billions.
The suspect opened a car dealership known as Fidoray Autos and imported over 30 exotic vehicles.
He also brought a house and acquired a residence permits in the Tanzania and Dubai, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom.
He also acquired plazas in Lagos to the tune of N450 million.
He bought landed properties around Dangote refineries to the tune of N1 billion.
Oluwasesan splashed a billion naira on the interior decoration of his hotel in Mainland, Lagos State.
Stealing has become a culture in 🇳🇬. Any nation that worships money, hail rich & wealthy people without asking for sources of their wealth is doomed.
Youths emulate the hopeless ruling class who engage in corruption, looting and plundering of nations resources in expectations that one day, the youths would be like them. The nation must seek serious change of direction and attitude to financial crimes, corruption, nepotism and wastage. 🇳🇬 Must start punishing looters and their accomplishes. The country must begin to reward hardwork, perseverance and efficiency. Invest in Education, youths development, agriculture and modern infrastructure. God fatherism and name dropping must stop. The culture of public display of affluence ina country battered by hunger, poverty & hopelessness leaves much to desire.
