The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omon’Oba N’Edo Uku’Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, paid a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House on Friday, July 14.
President Tinubu received the respected monarch and palace delegation at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa.
The council members included the Egiagbai of Ekperi, the Imah of Somorika, the Onojie of Ewato and the Ojuromi of Uromi as well as top Benin Chiefs.
Edo State former governor, Comrade Adam Oshiomohle also join the delegation to see the president.
The reason for the visit was not made known as of the time of filling this report.
There are suggestions that the meeting is geared at formally congratulating the new president on his assumption of office as a new president of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
