A 15-year-old girl died from electrocution at the Olomore housing estate in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The ugly incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. on Sunday evening.
According to reports obtained by SavannahNewnow correspondent, the girl, Miracle Ogbonna, had gone to obtain water from the estate’s well when the power was unexpectedly restored while she was doing so.
The little girl was electrocuted by a bare cable from the pumping machine situated around the well.
She was rushed to a hospital, where the doctor on duty confirmed her dead.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola confirmed the ugly incident.
According to him, investigation has commenced and the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at a morgue.
