A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to charge the suspended Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele to court within seven days.
Justice Hamza Muazu on Thursday ordered his immediate released if not charged to court within one week.
The presiding judge held that the Nigerian Constitution was established on the rule of law which he said pre-supposed that everything must be done according to the law.
Recall that Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja has earlier permitted the Department of State Service (DSS) to detain Emefiele for a period of 14 days to enable it to conclude its investigations.
DSS confirmed Emefiele arrest to the newsmen on June 10, shortly after President Bola Tinubu suspended him from office and ordered a probe of the former CBN boss.
