The Rivers State House of Assembly under the leadership of Mr. Martin Amaehwule, has threatened that it would stop receiving correspondence from the Government House.
This following the attitudes of staff members of the government house.
The Speaker, Mr Amaehwule revealed this during its sitting, yesterday at its Chambers within the premises of House of Assembly Quarters.
Amaehwule claimed that the Clerk of Government House has not been receiving letters and correspondence from the Assembly clerk.
He said after the government staff sent in a correspondence on the commissioner-nominees that they (Government House) has refused to receive any document from the Assembly.
Amaehwule warned that the House would stop taking any correspondence from the executive arm.
As of the time of filling this report, efforts to get the state government’s reaction proved abortive.
