Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, has joined his forefathers after battled with leukemia disease.
He was 67 years old.
A family source told Savannah News on Wednesday that Akeredolu died in Germany.
Savannah News gathered that the ailing Governor was flown abroad last week after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu instructed the State Assembly to allow the Deputy Governor to continue in acting capacity.
The ailing governor returned to Nigeria in September following a three-month medical leave in Germany
He recently proceeded on another one after President Bola Tinubu intervention.
His deputy, Aiyedatiwa has been standing in as Acting Governor.
