Makinde presents staff of office to new Soun of Ogbomoso

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has officially bestowed the instrument of office and the staff of office on the newly appointed Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye.

Governor Makinde handed over the Staff of Office to Oba Ghandi Olaoye, better known as Orumogege III, at the presentation at the Ogbomoso Township Stadium.

Oba Olaoye expressed his commitment to a well-defined vision to develop prosperity and peace within Ogbomosoland in his acceptance address.

He also outlined a complete 25-year plan, which he plans to reveal in the coming months.

Oba Olaoye committed to use his gained talents and ties to serve the community, drawing on his broad experience in business and pastoral leadership spanning three decades.

Oba Olaoye stressed his commitment to shepherding the people toward progress and development as he transitioned from his prior job as a church pastor to that of a community leader. He urged all competitors and stakeholders to work together to move the community forward.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja III, Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Lekan Balogun, former Minister of Information Lai Muhammed, and several other distinguished figures graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
