Ndigbo in Lagos Ask for Representation in Sanwo-Olu’s Govt

The Igbo residing in Lagos State yesterday lamented over non-representation in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration.

Concerned Igbo Elite (CIE) raised the alarm yesterday after an assessment of the appointments of the administration.

In a press statement released and signed by the coordinator of the group, they decried what they called a misnomer designed to further marginalise the Igbos in Lagos.

Ndigbo in Lagos were not happy considering the cordial relationship between them and the Yoruba, especially since 1999, when the former Governor of Lagos State, now President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in power, the group claimed.

The group stressed that Governor Sanwo-Olu shouldn’t take their long cordial relationships for granted.

The coordinator of the group, Aji Ibe said it is still shocking that no Ndigbo persons in Governor Sanwo-Olu’s government despite their contributions during the electioneering campaign.
